what are ticings™?

ticings are thin sheets of edible icing in full sheets or rounds (similar to stickers) designed with our unique contemporary images and phrases. ticings apply quickly and easily to your soft frosted cupcakes, cakes, cookies and brownies. manufactured in the USA, they are fda and kosher approved and gluten-free.

how do ticings taste?

ticings have no noticeable taste, taking on the flavor of your frosting and cake,
brownie or cookie. they have a smooth texture and are easy to cut or bite through.

what sizes do you offer?

ticings come in three standard sizes: 1) a sheet of 1 dozen 2-1/2” ticings rounds
for standard cupcakes or cookies, 2) a sheet of 35 1-1/4” rounds for mini cupcakes, small cookies or round brownie bites or 3) a full sheet for use on layer and sheet cakes. you may use the full sheets to cut or die cut into custom shapes for brownie or other bar-type cookies or cake slices.

what type of frosting or icing works best with ticings?

ticings work best on buttercream or cream cheese frosting. they also apply easily
to cookies with royal icing. a bit of buttercream or decorator's gel (clear) under your ticings will allow application onto whipped cream or fondant. chocolate or fudge frostings will also work, but since ticings are translucent the color of any darker frosting will show through very slightly.

how long do unused ticings last?

ticings will keep up to six months if stored properly — keep them bagged and sealed in a dark, air-free environment to retain their color and slightly moist texture. if they become dry or brittle handle them gently—they are still usable. misting the back with a light spray of water can help.

how long do ticings last after applied to frosting?

applied to your frosted baked goods, ticings can last a few days if not devoured immediately! they may be frozen uncovered for a few weeks or longer but avoid UV light
or condensation which may cause colors to bleed or fade.

are ticings easy to apply?

yes, they easily peel and press onto your frosted dessert. even a child can apply them to frosted cupcakes. just make sure the frosting has a flat surface, as ticings do not bend. if
your ticings won't remove easily from the backing, it may be that your environment is too humid; place them on a flat surface and allow them to 'dry out' for 10-30 minutes, or until they easily release from the backing sheet.

why have a few of my ticings fallen off their backing sheet?

in transit if exposed to dry air and/or heat, ticings may lose some moisture and fall off their backing sheet. they are still completely usable. lightly spray or brush the back of your ticings with water to soften them slightly before applying to your frosting.

can i apply ticings to bakery or store-bought cake and cupcakes?

yes, just make sure that the frosting is soft and fresh, otherwise ticings will not have a good surface to meld them into place. you may also lightly spray or brush the back of your ticings with water, fresh frosting or corn syrup to soften them slightly before application.

how can i make ticings cookie favors?

start with freshly baked or store-bought round cookies with a smooth, flat surface. apply buttercream, royal icing or fudge frosting underneath the ticings and center on top of the cookie, pressing down gently to secure them to the surface. pipe around the edges with more frosting or add sprinkles if desired — or just use them alone. wrap in a cellophane bag to create instant treats for any party or event.

i love your designs, but i'd like to buy a single sheet of my own design.

we now offer customization with no minimum, plus a set up fee of $100 for each unique piece of artwork. please note that we cannot print any image for which you do not own the copyright license.

may i special order a different color of one of your designs? 

color customization may be available, depending on our current production schedules—please note there is minimum plate charge of $50 for a custom color, which we must

test print before running your job. an exact color match cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of food coloring inks. email us at hello@ticings.com and let us know your due date, quantity, the sku number of the design you would like to color modify, and any other specifics we should know.

can you put our company logo on ticings?

yes, customization is now available! we currently offer a dozen 2.5" rounds. full sheets are also available by special request.

where can i purchase ticings?

ticings are sold currently through our website only. please check back for news of bakeries that will soon offer ticings on their own products!

how do you ship and when will i receive my order?

your order is printed on-demand to ensure freshness and superior quality. please allow 3-5 days for processing. we ship via usps ground or priority mail, monday to friday, pacific standard time. depending on our current schedule, rush processing and delivery (via express mail or ups overnight) may be available for a 100% rush fee. please contact us at hello@ticings.com for more information. we reserve the right to reject any order you place with us and/or limit quantities on any order, without giving any reason. If we reject your order, we will attempt to notify you using the e-mail address you have given us with the order.

what if my ticings are damaged upon arrival?

we make every effort to ensure that your order arrives in good condition, however, if your ticings are damaged we will replace them at no additional cost to you. see our replacement instructions below or email us at support@ticings.com.

what is your return policy?

due to the nature of our products, food items cannot be returned. sweettoof studios is committed to providing exceptional products and customer support. please contact us at support@ticings.com for items damaged by shipping carrier. these may be exchanged for replacement within 14 days of receipt—original packaging, labels and defective item(s) and RMA# required for return. used, misused or customer damaged items are not acceptable for exchange or replacement. return address: sweettoof studios returns, 1225 grand avenue, el segundo, ca 90245.

how may i open a wholesale account?
